Special-Eyes Vision Care, LLC is conveniently located in Target Optical at Easton Morse Crossing. Dr. Scalley graduated from The Ohio State University College of Optometry in 2011. She then began working at a private practice in Zanesville, Ohio, but longed to be back in Columbus with her family and friends. She opened Special-Eyes Vision Care on Friday, November 6, 2015 and sees patients of all ages.
Dr. Scalley graduated from Toronto High School, located in Toronto, Ohio, in 2002 as Valedictorian of her class. She went on to attend Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio where she graduated cum laude and with honors in 2006 with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Life Science. She then went on to study optometry at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio and received her Doctor of Optometry Degree in June of 2011. Dr. Scalley joined Sunrise Vision Clinic, a private practice located in Zanesville, Ohio, in July of 2011. She opened Special-Eyes Vision Care in Columbus, Ohio in November of 2015.
During high school, she was active in the student council, marching and concert bands, cheerleading, dance team, volleyball, Key Club, National Honor Society, Talented and Gifted Program, and Odyssey of the Mind. At Otterbein, Dr. Scalley was an active member of Theta Nu sorority, Alpha Epsilon Delta Pre-Med honorary, Alpha Lambda Delta honorary, and Mortar Board Senior Honor Society. While at Ohio State, she was an active member of the Epsilon Psi Epsilon fraternity and the American Optometric Student Association.
Dr. Scalley is currently an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Ohio Optometric Association. She treats a wide variety of ocular conditions including glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, dry eye, amblyopia, and keratoconus. She enjoys fitting patients into different types of contact lenses, including those for astigmatism and multifocal lenses. She is currently welcoming patients of all ages.
In her spare time, Dr. Scalley enjoys spending time with her family and friends, knitting, crocheting, baking, and playing with her four dogs.
